Our Mission:

The Arc of Central Alabama serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through comprehensive and quality programming, advocacy efforts, education and awareness, all in an effort to ensure each person affected by I/DD has the opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential for the most independent life possible.

Day Programs

Educational and adaptive daily living skills training and care for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Residential Services

Support for adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities in a comfortable home environment.

Employment Services

Training for adults with intellectual disabilities who desire to work while empowering individuals to be as independent as possible.

Early Intervention

Therapy for children up to age three who present developmental or intellectual delays.

The Arc of Jefferson County is the only non-reject program in Alabama for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals of all ages. But we're so much more than that. We're a family.
