Volunteer Spotlight: Church of the Highlands Greystone Campus

Church of the Highlands Greystone Campus members initially reached out to Arc CEO Chris Stewart about volunteering at an Arc-supported home the first Saturday of February, March, and April of this year. Led by Kim and Colby, this group of 10 assisted the men at M House to prepare their vegetable garden for the coming season. If you remember from our 2016 Community Impact Report, this is also known as “Vinny’s Garden.” House Manager Audrey, who has vast knowledge and a passion for gardening, even presented a lesson on Gardening 101 and how the M House men want to see the garden continue to flourish. This month, to fulfill a request from M House, the volunteers from Church of the Highlands are going to lead a short devotional and help organize the men’s closets for Spring. We are so thankful for the ongoing support of our volunteers from Church of the Highlands! Your love and support means the world to the men of M House, and all of us here at The Arc. Thank You!

Become A Volunteer!

Due to an ever growing number of volunteers that are passionate about and interested in the mission of The Arc, we have created a new opportunity to serve through donation of your time and talents.  The Volunteer Corps will be a database of friends of The Arc who are willing to step in whenever help is needed in an area or areas of interest to you.  Whether it be consumer holiday parties, helping with baking classes in the training kitchen, painting or yard work through Adopt-a-Home, we’ve got a project for you!
